Program Overview

This exciting program, taught by a certified FAA Remote Pilot holder since 2018, will give students an opportunity to explore Oklahoma鈥檚 second-largest industry 鈥 Aviation. Drone technology has given rise to many new career opportunities, and the age requirement to receive a commercial drone pilot license is just 16 years old! You will learn on industry-level DJI drones how to fly, build and engage in python coding to program drones, understand drone technology, collect data, and learn about pathways to various job certifications in aviation. Students will also get hands-on experience in drone applications such as photography, videography, 3D modeling, and thermal imaging. Upon completing the program, students can graduate with up to 8 Drone Deploy industry certifications.

The Drones & Aviation program:

  • Promotes science, technology, engineering, and math skills that prepare you for the future of aviation and aerospace.
  • Supports the development of technology skills future-focused employers desire.
  • Develops critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Offers the opportunity to earn the FAA Part 107 license which will allow applicants to enter the military at a higher pay rate, entering as an E2 rather than an E1. Students MUST earn this license during their first year at TCT to return for a second year.

At check in, you must present valid, current, government-issued photo identification including a photo, date of birth, signature, and residential address. U.S. Citizens or Resident Aliens must present at minimum one ID that includes all requirements. Foreign applicants must present at minimum both a valid passport and a secondary form of government-issued photo identification.
